Embark On An Epic Journey With ‘Shell: The Great Travel Hack’

Energy “supermajor” Shell teamed up with TV star Kaley Cuoco in their latest campaign (The Great Travel Hack). The 5 part series follows two teams as they embark on an epic journey (with a twist) from Los Angeles to New York City.

Pete Winslett (Envy Advertising – Post Producer): Working with the great team at Carnage and JWT on Shell ‘The Great Travel Hack’ allowed Envy to do what it does best; managing vast amounts of media through our offline facilities and finishing to the high quality standards of Envy Advertising’s grade, VFX and audio departments meant for a hugely successful project.

Danny Wood (Envy Advertising – Colourist): Travel hacks was an epic project comprised of intense YouTube films and a huge amount of social content which needed a vibrant grade to match the high energy of the show. The challenge was marrying so many different cameras together in so many different lighting conditions but I’m delighted with the end product. Overall, a big project that I’m extremely proud to have worked on.

Dave Williams (Envy Advertising – Sound Designer): We had to fit a lot into these films. 2 teams in multiple modes of transport threw up various audio issues; some were incredibly noisy and others almost silent. Hopefully we did justice to each vehicle whilst keeping the mix dynamic, interesting and not too in-you-face for 12 minutes each episode.
